La Cheim Residential Treatment Centers

Director: Bob Garriott

La Cheim Residential Treatment Centers provide safe and nurturing homes for children and youths whose circumstances do not permit them to live with their families or guardians.   Each of the two Level 14  group homes is equipped to care for up to six residents with emotional and behavioral disabilities, who are constantly and closely supervised by dedicated teams of Teacher-Counselors.   The staff are all trained in pediatric and adult First Aid/CPR and in Professional Assault Response Training (PART), and  work in close collaboration with licensed clinicians.

Students who reside at the La Cheim Residential Treatment Centers --Ohlson House and Browning House-- attend school at La Cheim Schools' Richmond campus.   The school and group home staff communicate daily and collaborate closely to address each resident's social, emotional, and academic issues in accordance with each child's Individualized Education Program (IEP), and transition and treatment plans.

Referrals to La Cheim Residential Treatment Centers occurs via local and county child service agencies.   If you believe that a child in your care might benefit from a Level 14 residential treatment setting, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We will be happy to give more detail about the program, answer any questions you have, and to direct you to the appropriate agency for a referral.
