La Cheim Schools offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for all full-time employees.
Full-time employees qualify for comprehensive health care and dental care
benefits at no cost to the employee other than established co-payments. Part-time workers share in the cost of coverage.
Medical Plan
Employees may select Kaiser-Permanente, Health Net
HMO, or Health Net PPO, to provide health coverage, including vision care, mental health, and prescription
services. Other than plan-established co-payments, this coverage
is offered at no cost to full -time employees. Family coverage is
included at no cost to the employee six months after hire, although the
employee may assume the cost of family coverage until then.
Part-time workers share in the cost of coverage for themselves and their
families.
Dental Plan
Employees are provided with dental insurance coverage
through Met Life. Other than plan-established co-payments
for services, this coverage is offered at no cost to full -time
employees. Family coverage is included at no cost to the employee
six months after hire, although the employee may assume the cost of
family coverage until then. Part-time workers share in the cost of
coverage for themselves and their families.
Paid Time Off
La Cheim Schools provides full-time employees with
seven weeks of paid time off (PTO) annually for vacations and personal business, in addition to 10 days of PTO for illnesses. All full-time staff also receive
twelve paid holidays per year. Part-time employees working
more than 25 hours per week receive pro-rated paid time off based upon the number of hours worked.
Continuing Education Benefits
La Cheim Schools supports the educational and professional development of its employees. Full-time La Cheim Schools employees have the opportunity to receive up to
16 hours of PTO per month in order to participate in professional
development activities, such as conferences or seminars, or to take classes in pursuit of higher education degrees, professional credentials or
licenses, or to satisfy continuing education requirements .
