La Cheim's physical location at 3031 Telegraph is CLOSED until further notice, but tele-admissions are open.

 

While this page is intended for actively enrolled PHP/IOP clients at La Cheim, others in need of support and inspiration are free to use the materials provided.

Actively enrolled clients: If you need to check in, please call (510) 596-8125 or email us via the form below during the program day. The after hours phone remains available after 5 pm and on weekends per usual. Your individual therapeutic and psychiatric providers will be in touch with you during the week to see you on one of your regularly scheduled and attended days. You need to participate in the Zoom groups to see your individual providers!

Please check the daily registration email for Zoom meeting info including new Daily Privacy PIN. 9:00 am - 9:30 am: Morning Gathering & Tech Support

"breakfast and gathering" in Zoom Room One (daily PIN required); "tech support" in Zoom Room Four with Ryan (no PIN)

Get an early start on your day in Zoom Room One. Need tech help? Visit Ryan in Zoom Room Four, which does not require a PIN (so we are not posting the meeting ID or URL here -- please check daily email for that info).

9:30 am - 10:15 am: Morning Check-In & Goal-Setting Group

Zoom Room One with Amanda (daily PIN required)

This will be our all-community meeting to check in, connect, and set your personal recovery goals for the day.

10:30 am - 11:15 am: Therapeutic Sharing & Process Groups

In our therapeutic process groups, we invite clients to share elements of your experience to be heard and receive supportive feedback. We encourage clients to choose whichever group will be most helpful to your treatment goals.

 

11:30 am - 12:15 pm: Skill-Building, Coping, & Creative Self-Expression Groups

"DBT" in Zoom Room One with Seth; "CBT" in Zoom Room Two with Lenore (daily PIN required)

In these experiential learning groups, clients build skills, self-awareness, and connection. The therapists will instruct how to divide up. Clients w/ last initial A-H, go to Zoom Room One, last initial I-Z, go to Zoom Room Two.

12:15 pm - 1:00 pm: Lunch Break & Nesting

Zoom Room One (daily PIN required) -- or, feel free to take a Zoom/screen break! 

Take time for food, rest, deep breathing, washing hands, improving your living space, and other healthy self-care. We may need to "shelter in place" for a while, so it's good to spend time making your surroundings warm and comfortable.

1:00 pm - 1:45 pm : Skill-Building, Coping, & Creative Self-Expression Groups

This is our all-community meeting to check out, reflect, and review evening safety and plans. Lay low and stay safe tonight! Remember, the more we slow the spread of the coronavirus, the longer science and technology have to help.

NIGHTLY HOMEWORK: Evening and Weekend Safety, Structure, and Community-Building

Please take time reflecting on your evening/weekend plans and using your support system actively. We encourage clients to connect amongst themselves to exchange information, support, and ideas during this time.

Remember -- connection brings strength, while isolation brings struggle. Your most important job right now is to get creative in staying connected and securely attached while sheltering in place and maintaining social distance. By staying home and staying strong, we are each doing our part to flatten the curve and spare our communities and healthcare system.
